| I'm back. It's been a while. I decided to take a xanga break during the end of april/beginning of may. All those promotional events with low turnout left me really burntout. There were days that i didn't want to get out of bed, but i did, and i even graduated on saturday. I posted my pictures on photobucket.com if you're interested or if you don't believe that i graduated. I'm the one with the tassle on the left side. log in name: leannelight password:leanne. I like to keep things simple. overgrad out | | |
| I'd like to invite all my xanga viewers to my faux (pronounced "fawx") graduation on May 15th. I'll be having a party on the 16th as well. Unlike the graduation, however, the party is real. I won't be unleashed into the real world until next December, so there is no need to lock the doors quite yet.
I know how to be a college student. In fact i've been quite successful at it altho there are a few extra-curricular activities that I have yet to master. But when it comes to being an adult I'm clueless. Heck, I went bikeriding just this afternoon. As I traveled the bike paths i came to the conclusion that bike riding is for three classes of people: there are the tweens who sit on the bike and walk their way along the path because using the pedals is just so last millenium. Then you have the young mothers who enjoy utilizing those trendy little caddies that drag behind the bike. I think the child would be safer duct taped to your back than in that thing. One unfortunately placed stone and your child is airborne. Lastly there are the retirees, riding side by side with their love of 50 years, taking up the path as they ride 4 mph reveling in the senior citizen discount they got on their banana seat bike from Ames (before it closed). Not once have i come across a young college student like myself. sometimes they pass me in their car. at first i felt shame but then i stopped caring. i like my schwinn. ain't nobody gonna put baby in the corner.
| I've been informed about some people that have recently subscribed to my xanga. I'm honored but really the pressure is a little overwhelming. Its this kind of stress thats going land me in the hospital. Honestly all that hype about my spring promotions and the Jose Conseco signings at Borders were just a ploy to pull people in. it would really be rather impossible to pull off a xanga signing and conseco is just way to occupied with his new book. really I have no need to write in my xanga. Nor have I ever had much need to keep a diary. but that didn't stop me in sixth grade. Wouldn't we all like to revisit those entries. It always seemed like a way to humor myself into believing that i was really deep and reflective. Although the entries were usually just about DJ...for istance there was one in which i wrote about how I wished DJ was at my family reunion so I could see him that day. I retracted that wish later in the entry after I realized that him being at my family reunion would possibly bring up some incest issues later on when we attempted to get married. I'm not making this stuff up. I wish I was but I'm not. DJ never showed up at the reunion that day. I did however see him monday morning at school. The relationship basically flatlined and we went our seperate ways in junior high. I was in pre-algebra and i think he was probably still in pre-pre-algrebra. really i'm not sure. Wait no, it wasn't the math classes that defined our paths, it was the drugs. oh yes thats right. he started doing drugs and i didnt. and we all know how that goes.
**I don't promote the use of drugs by anyone (especially junior highers) unless prescribed but a licensed doctor like the ones Micheal Jackson uses when he can't show up for court on time.
| well, its spring. you know what that means...time to promote my xanga site. i think i've really had a great kick off...what with the contest, and my new weekly installments which i update monthly. I also just signed a contract with jose conseco to do a xanga signing at borders. I think it will really pull in the baseball fans (and steroid fans) out there that aren't already reading my xanga. the key is having a little bit of everything so that you keep everyone happy. I keep my layout simple for all my amish fans. heck, i'm pennsylvania dutch. we's cuzins. gotta keep it real for the fam. | | |
| Dudley is the prize winner! thank you Dudley for telling me how to insert a picture into my entries. Dudley will receive a round trip ticket to anywhere in the continental US!!! Contratulations! but dont expect me to pay for your hotel. I still don't fully understand though. I'd also like to learn things like how to change a flat tire and how to petition a decrease in the price of stamps. If any of you can help me with these things, you too could be a winner like Dudley.
I kicked up my heals tonight. actually i just moved my sholders a bit to the beat. some people leaned back to the lean back song, but i just didn't think that it was necessary. oh there is some other big news in my life. I am currently an ebay seller. yes. if you're interested in a wooden butterfly music box check it out on ebay. its precious. so precious that i decided to sell it on ebay. its actually just my test subject to get an idea of how this thing works. unfortunately no one has bid on it yet, but i expect the amount of bids to really spike in the last half hour or so. i believe its an original piece.... and the wood is real too, to the best of my knowledge. lets see, what other random things might people not be interested in...
Things that have made me a cooler person: When i was about 9 (thats a guesstimation), I got the Alladin soundtrack. I listened to "a whole new world" for about 3 hours straight until i not only knew all the words, but i could also sing along without missing a beat (I could even do both the male and female parts at the same time).
this has been another installation of "things that have made me a cooler person"
